Wonder Girls on People Magazine

-Wonder Girls on People Magazine-

It seems that the Wonder Girls are really gaining popularity in the U.S. since they've been featured in a People Magazine, which is a popular magazine here in the States!

The article is titled, "5 Things to Know About The Wonder Girls" and it recapped some facts that every Wonder Girls fan probably knows: they're tight with the JoBros, their manager (JYP) was a 90's megastar, they are reality TV veterans (MTV Wonder Girls, anyone?), they started an online dance craze with "Tell Me," and they dress alike. I'm not really sure the last one is a fact, though.

At any rate, you can check out the article below. Once again, congrats to the Wonder Girls!:

This isn't the first time that the girls were featured in People magazine; back in April, the quintet, along with stars BoA, Se7en and Japanese singer Utada Hikaru were featured in a "Coming to America... Asia Pop Stars" segment.

Son Ye Jin goes to Baekdu Mountain

-Son Ye Jin goes to Baekdu Mountain-

To promote the beauty and value of the traditional Korean dress, hanbok and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of a female magazine, Son Ye Jin took a trip to far-away Baekdu Mountain between the borders of China and North Korea for an exclusive photoshoot opportunity, with the magnificent Heaven Lake as the backdrop.

"When the Heaven Lake appeared before me, my heart started pumping with adrenaline, it was really emotional. If there was someone among the production staff who cried, I also might cry along with him/her. Before ascending to the peak, I just felt that this was going to be a special experience, that's all. But the moment I saw the Heaven Lake, I suddenly thought to myself 'I must definitely take the most beautiful pictures here'."

That was what Son Ye Jin described upon seeing the Heaven Lake for the first time.

With Baekdu Mountain situated high above sea level, breathing was always going to be a difficult task for anyone attempting to scale the mountain. But Son Ye Jin showed that she was one tough lady beneath her gentle demeanor, as she scaled the steep steps of the trail without even stopping to rest for a moment, reaching the top before any of the filming crew. She said, "This must be attributed to me exercising everyday."
Starting from China's Yanji Airport, past Longjing City which took four hours on road before scaling the mountain, Son Ye Jin always caught the attention from passer-bys who couldn't take their eyes off her. Regardless of whether she was a star or not, they were simply awestruck by her beauty which was rarely seen in their part of the world.

Going to Baekdusan seems to be the dream of most South Koreans.

Park Si Yeon is an angel for children in Bangladesh

-Park Si Yeon is an angel for children in Bangladesh-

Park Si Yeon has become an angel to poor children living in the slums of Bangladesh.

Park Si Yeon had gone with the production team of 2009 SBS Hope TV to visit children living in the Rajbari District, which is also home to the largest red light district in Bangladesh. For the young children, only a iron mesh separates their home from the bright lights of the red light district. And when their mothers bring a client home, they would have to stay outside of their home and wait. And for many living there, their fate mirrors their mothers when they grow older.

Seeing the young children living in such poor conditions, Park Si Yeon said with tears, "There's a lot of things that we take for granted but none of this can be enjoyed by these children at all." She added, "Although there's a language barrier, I hope that my warm smiles can help to bring some sort of encouragement to these children. The children here have no dreams and the only thing that can help them to escape their fate is through education. I hope to spread a little happiness and dreams to them so that they can have an ambition and dream of a better future."

S.E.S gets back together for Come To Play

-S.E.S gets back together for Come To Play-

Yup, you read the title right! One of Korea's OG girl group, S.E.S., got back together for an episode of Come To Play.

If you didn't know, S.E.S. was a three member girl group (Bada, Eugene, and Shoo) that debuted with their hit song I'm Your Girl in 1997 and broke up in 2002. Through Come To Play, the three members were able to get together and guest in their first talkshow as a group since their idol days 7 years ago.

On the show, the girls did what girls do best and chit-chatted about their S.E.S. days and revealed a lot of behind-the-scene stories for the fans.

Although the girls are no longer working as a group, they are all doing quite well with their solo work.

Eugene is currently the main female lead in MBC's drama, Creating Destiny, and she is faring quite successfully as an actress in both the drama and movie scene. While Eugene chose to switch over to the acting field, Bada is still challenging the music charts despite all the new idol groups that are arising. She is currently promoting her new songs Mad and Yes I'm In Love. Shoo, on the other hand, is reportedly planning/preparing for her solo single album although no date has been fixed yet.

Despite their busy schedules, the three girls managed to star as guests for Come To Play in order to share their cherished S.E.S. memories.

During Star in Cover-story, the girls even performed some of their hit S.E.S. songs, and showed off their dance skills despite all the years that have gone by.

To juice up some of the good ol' memories, fellow idol group of that time, g.o.d., made a special appearance. Although it was only Danny Ahn and Kim Tae Woo, the two men spiced up the whole walk down memory lane.

However, it seemed like Danny Ahn was a little uncomfortable during the whole filming, because he had revealed, "I had a crush on S.E.S.' Eugene during my g.o.d. days," on a previous episode of Come To Play.

This episode airs on the 26th! But, I with the three girls were getting back together for a comeback stage more than for an episode for Come To Play.

But on another note, assuming from this picture, maybe this episode might be more amusing than a comeback stage. Guess I'll have to wait and see for myself!

Kim Nam Gil injured while filming Queen Seon Duk

-Kim Nam Gil injured while filming Queen Deon Duk-

It was reported on the 25th that the filming of MBC's Queen Seon Duk had to be suspended temporarily after Kim Nam Gil got injured from falling off a horse.

Kim Nam Gil may be playing as the fearless Bidam in the drama, but even he was not immune to pain during a filming session on Sunday.

In one of the scenes that was being filmed in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, Kim Nam Gil was on the horse with Lee Yo Won behind him, when he lost control and fell off it. Although Lee Yo Won also fell off the horse, she did not suffer any injuries because of her landing.

It was not the case for Kim Nam Gil who fell awkwardly and complained of neck pain. He was immediately transferred to a local medical facility for treatment.

The incident surprised everyone on set but thankfully, Kim Nam Gil did not suffer any major injuries or fractures after initial diagnosis by the doctors.

But for precaution sakes, he is expected to take a day of rest before resuming filming tomorrow or the day after depending on his condition.

His management expressed, "Kim Nam Gil was approaching a bend when he lost control suddenly. In the aftermath, he said that his neck area was hurting a lot which made us worry a lot. But tests have shown that there's no issues or anything. He's now back at home resting and we will continue to monitor his health. But he is determined to return to filming tomorrow so that the schedule is not disrupted because of him."

Music Bank MCs are dating?

-Music Bank MCs are dating?-

Our Music Bank MCs, Seo Hyo Rim and Song Joong Ki, might be another celebrity couple to arise!

Recently, the two were guests for an episode of Star Golden Bell and they raised a lot of suspicion regarding their relationship status.

The two have claimed to be mere 'best friends,' but the filming of the show supported otherwise. Music Bank viewers have also questioned the two MCs' relationship and have posted comments asking if the two were dating.

On Star Golden Bell, Mc Ji Suk Jin had revealed to the guests that Song Joong Ki had an alarmed expression on his face when Jun Hyun Moo asked if he and Seo Hyo Rim were dating.

Being amused with where this was leading to, the two were then asked, "Do you know where each other's houses are?"

Seo Hyo Rim answered, "Song Joong Ki lives in Non-Hyun-Dong." Following suit, Song Joon Ki answered, "She lives in Han-Nam-Dong."

Their correct/honest answers then raised even more suspicions and led the guests to exclaim, "Are you sure they're really not dating?!"

The other guests then blurted, "We heard them make plans to go eat after this filming in the waiting room." (Hahaha, BUSTED!) To this, the two were reported to have stoned/alarmed expressions on their face.

This episode is set to be broadcasted in Korea on the 24th and along with the two lovebirds, the line-up of guests include: SHINee (Onew, Key, Jonghyun, Minho, and Taemin), Kara's Gyuri, Secret's Song Ji Eun, Lee Kyung Shil, and Shin Bong Sun
